Quantum Atom Theory an artist interpretation of quantum mechanics

Quantum Atom Theory is an artist theory it is a visual theory based on observations not mathematics. So I have used the equations of Einstein and quantum physics and looked at them as a kind of abstract art. They are very beautiful looked at this way.

This equation is a set of infinities within infinity a time within a spacetime a rhyme within a rhyme.

Above is Quantum Atom Theory interpretation of Einstein famous equation E=MC2. The (E) energy = (ˠ) Lorentz factor (M0) rest mass times the square of the speed of light (C2). The brackets represent the boundary condition of an individual reference frame. The (∞) infinity sign represents the infinity of an infinite number of inertial and non-inertial reference frames.

The big different with (E=ˠM0C2) ∞ and the original E=MC2 is that the brackets represent a boundary condition of a reference frame.

The conditions (rate that time ∆t flows) within each reference frames will be relative to the energy ∆E of that reference frame.

This theory explains how time ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π is formed by the quantum wave particle function Ψ expanding out from its radius forming a sphere 4π in three dimensional space. The surface area of the sphere will form the two dynamic dimensions 2π of a past and a potential uncertain future ∆×∆p×≥h/4π of position and momentum.

Therefore we have the freedom to create art and poetry!

Quantum Atom Theory is an artist theory on the physics of time as a physical process of continuous energy exchange continuous change. This process “stimulated emission” is formed by the spontaneous emission and absorption of light.

When there is an absorption and emission of light we have a quantum wave particle function that forms the uncertainty of Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle ∆×∆p×≥h/4π.

In this theory Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle ∆×∆p×≥h/4π is the same uncertainty we have with any future event and the quantum wave particle function represents part of a physical process that we see and feel as the flow of ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π time itself.

We have an infinite number of reference frames within our Universe and because light has momentum and momentum is frame dependent each object or observer will have their own uncertainty as time unfolds photon by photon.

An observer can look back in time at the beauty of the stars in all directions from the centre of their own reference frame. This is because they are forming their own spacetime by collapsing the waves of light into new photon-oscillations forming their own future potential.

This is a continuous dynamic process in three dimensional space the wave function will expand out from its radius forming a sphere 4π.

This whole process can be seen as a process of symmetry forming and breaking between matter and antimatter. In this theory antimatter annihilation is part of the process that forms the flow of time.

An artist theory on the Quantum Mechanics and the physics of time.

It has been said that a good theory should be based on just a few postulates and explain a large number of phenomenon.
This theory is based on just two simple postulates and helps to explain many of puzzles of quantum and classical physics.

1. The first postulate is that the quantum wave particle function Ψ explained by Schrodinger’s wave equation represents the forward passage of time ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π or Arrow of Time itself photon by photon

2. The second postulate is that Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle ∆×∆p×≥h/4π that is formed by the wave function is the same uncertainty we have with any future event that we can interact with turning the possible into the actual!

The quantum wave particle function Ψ is a probability wave of a potential future event within an individual reference frame.
We have an infinite number of reference frames in our Universe each one having a rate that time flows relative to the energy of that individual reference frame. This idea of an infinite number of ref-frames is explained by Einstein in his theories on relativity.

This theory (Quantum Atom Theory) unites Einstein’s theories of relativity and quantum physics explaining a physical process of continuous energy exchange. This process forms the geometry or curvature of spacetime in Einstein’s theories of relativity and what we see and feel as the flow of time in our everyday life.

Okay, from your examples I can see how time might be considered the hidden variable. However, there may be BRANES embedded in the fabric of space that are responsible for both time and quantum entanglement. Accelerating objects may rub against these branes, producing time dilation. Light itself may use branes as a conduit. The idea of branes is promoted in the book “The Elegant Universe” by Brian Greene its part of String Theory.
In this theory we have boundary conditions instead of (BRANES). They are dynamic and we see them has the two 2π dynamic dimensions of a past and a potential future uncertainty. Mathematically we see this as Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle ∆×∆p×≥h/4π. This process forms the rate that time ∆t flows it will be relative to the energy ∆E of each individual ref-frame. We have an infinite number of ref-frames so we only need three 4π dimensions and one variable time

Einstein believed is a dynamic Universe that is objective and would relate to our everyday life. This theory is trying to explain such a Universe. We do not have branes in our everyday life, but we have boundary conditions in the form of reference frames. In a dynamic Universe of continuous change or energy exchange this is all we need to form a logical picture of our Universe.

My surmise is that momentum and position are separate (not simultaneously definable) because momentum is separate from branes, which actually define position. Collapsing energetic momentum to a singular point defines position, and that position is located on a brane. In the realm of pure momentum, branes are remote, existing outside of that domain.

Time is infinite, it is circular... between 1 and 2 is an infinite amount of decimals rational and irrational I could say 1.111 and repeat the one forever when it gets to 2 is a mystery to me... I believe it's the mind that brings the concept of time into existence, we perceive it differently then other creatures one moment can seem to stand still and one can pass without notice. But only as a process over a period of time, in this theory the flow of time is formed by the continuous flow of light or EMR within each individual ref-frame. In this theory consciousness is the most advanced part of a universal process and can therefore perceive this process as the flow of time with a past and a potential uncertain future within each individual reference frame.

In this theory we form our own time and space within our own reference frame. Well, abstract mathematics is the explaining of paradoxes. Math just follows experimental data the best it can... There is no a priori justification of any mathematical theory. Although, once experiments become able to tackle shadowing of quantum vacuum itself, we will definitely need new mathematical approach. It's never-ending Godel story, really. I believe mathematics is based on the geometry of our Universe this geometry is abstract therefore we have abstract mathematics.
Take the quantum Wave particle function it is an inverse sphere “abstract” but if you are within a sphere looking out it would seem inverse. Just like the inverse square law of gravity we are within the gravitational field. I feel that we need a new theory more than a new mathematical approach.

But if you're deriving it from Ψ, understand that that is something different from the HUP. Ψ (as defined by the Schrodinger equation) has considerably more information than HUP itself does. HUP falls out of the definition of a fourier transform on Ψ when the energy is quantized. I don't really understand how spherical symmetry comes into play here, but i'm not doubting that you can derive entropy if you're given Ψ. I'm doubting that you can derive it with HUP alone.

Many people have asked me this and the answer is that everything radiates light waves of electromagnetic radiation continuously. It is just that our eyes can only see what we call visible light. Most of the electromagnetic spectrum is invisible to us.

Cantor, Pythagoras and Plato believed numbers were externally existing realities in the mind of God.

This blog puts forward the idea that the abstract mathematics of Cantor’s continuum hypothesis and his work on infinities represents the continuum of time as a physical process.

Time is infinite if we have a number line representing the time line we will have an infinity of numbers (quanta) along that time line. But at each number or moment we will have a far greater infinity of irrational numbers representing the possibilities of what could happened.

In this theory “Quantum Atom Theory” each new light photon oscillation represents a new moment in time as a process of continuous energy exchange.

There is a paradox at the heart of the Second Law of Thermodynamics. In this Law things get more and more disorganized in a process called entropy as time goes on. But the great puzzle is where does the organization originally come from for us to have the universal process of entropy?

This post will put forward a simple idea explaining this organization or symmetry and why entropy is spontaneous with heat flowing from high to low temperature as time marches forward into the future.

This will give us a theoretical justification for the Second Law of Thermodynamics and for statistical entropy.

In this theory Time is not formed by entropy, it is the continuous flow of time and the formation of spacetime that forms statistical entropy and the probability and future uncertainty of everyday life.

The process we see and feel as the flow or Arrow of Time is formed by a hierarchy of events starting with the smallest unit of radiant energy the light photon of quantum physics.

Each photon of light will form a quantum wave particle function that will expand out spherically in three dimensional space having spherical symmetry therefore low entropy.

This is where the organization comes from for statistical entropy; light is a wave over a period of time and only has particle characteristics when it comes in contact with atoms.

According to modern ‘quantum field theory’ apparently empty space is not really empty at all, but is teeming with pairs of ‘virtual’ particles that come in and out of existence continuously.

One member of a virtual-particle pair will have positive energy and the other negative energy or what is called antimatter and matter.

These virtual particles manifest themselves only when something disturbs the quantum vacuum.

What exactly an electron is depends on how carefully you look, look carefully enough and you will disturb the vacuum energy that is present even in apparently empty space.

This will turn the void into a hive of activity containing antiparticles or positrons that will have a perfect electric and magnetic mirror image to the electron forming a universal symmetry.

Some have put forward the idea that antiparticles the positrons can be viewed as particles travelling backwards in time and that this has even been observed in the laboratory.
This gives us a picture of quantum mechanics that is totally abstract and that can never be understood as a complete theory representing and corresponding to the reality of our everyday life.

But there is another way of looking at this! And that is to say that we can see antiparticles travelling backwards in time because the whole process represents the forward ‘March of Time’ itself

Could the Planck Constant be an action in the creation of what we see and feel as the flow of Time?

Max Planck believed his discovery was something significant and might rank with those of Newton!

Very often the Planck Constant is combined with another fundamental constant of nature π

π (sometimes written pi) is a mathematical constant whose value is the ratio of any circle’s circumference to its diameter this is the same value as the ratio of a circle's area to the square of its radius.

The quantity h/2π appears so often in quantum mechanics that a new symbol has been invented to describe it, called HBAR.

Few things are more certain and fixed or static than π the fact that the circumference of a circle is not exactly three times its diameter but 3.14… time it diameter.

But when we consider static things like the fixed ratio of a circle to its diameter we find that the only possible way of analyzing the facts (so as to determine the fixed value of π) is to express the relation in the form of an infinite series of irrational numbers.

There are an infinite number of irrational numbers between every two numbers forming an infinity of infinities. It may seem impossible to visualize this as part of an objective reality.

An artist observation of Quantum Mechanics

I have been promoting this theory on the internet for over three years now and these are some of the latest question people have asked me.

How did you formulate your theories? By mathematical derivation or pure observation?

As an artist I started by observations, but I found that this theory can explain the mathematics we already have giving us a reason for the continuous flow of irrational numbers like π. We are energy ∆E and we have a future uncertainty ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π over a period of time ∆t in 2π dimensions past and future. This uncertainty will unfold in 3 dimensional space ∆×∆p×≥h/4π. Therefore we have 4π in Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle representing the sphere of 3 dimensional space for the uncertainty of position and momentum. The 2 dimensional surface of the spherical wave function we see and feel as the 2 dimensions of the past and future forming the flow of time!

What was meant by "free will" in this? I am strongly opposed to any notion of "libertarian" but am completely for compatibalism and deterministic freewill. I'd be interested to hear QM's impact on Freewill.

Free-will to choose when and where to collapse the wave function by choosing when and where we come in contact with it. Modern science has no understanding of why we have free-will a future and a past or even what the moment of now is.

AJ, I don’t believe there is such a thing as Dark Matter, multiple dimensions or parallel universes. In this theory there is just our three dimensional Universe with future probabilities instead of multiple dimensions.

I believe the LHC is like a Stone Age man hitting two stones together and creating sparks. He will be able to give the sparks names some Up Sparks, Down Sparks, Blue Sparks and Red Sparks. A concept of Time and Space within Einstein’s curvature of spacetime

This Blog has been set up to promote Quantum Atom Theory an artist theory on the dynamics of light and time. In this theory the individual atoms are creating their own spacetime geometry (the rate that time flows) relative to their energy or mass and position or momentum.

The observer as a group of atoms is also creating his or her own own Time as a process of continuous creation or change formed by the emission and absorption of electromagnetic radiation (light).

I am an artist and when I create a work of art it takes energy and is a process over a period of time ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π. There is always uncertainty ∆×∆p×≥h/4π of how the art work will turn out in three dimensional (4π spherical) space the position of the lines and curves π on the canvas. Every movement I make will have to start at the quantum level and will have an uncertainty of momentum and position (Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle). As I move positive and negative electric charge will move and the wave-particle duality of light will alternate between wave and particle. We see and feel this continuous alternating between wave and particle as the continuous flow of time. Just like the tick tock, tick tock of a clock the continuous wave particle, wave particle represents the physical flow of time itself!

Each photon is a new oscillation in the continuum of creation. We have a process of continuous creation or change creating an infinity of possibilities at every degree and angle of creation that we can interact with turning the possible into the actual! Because it is an infinity everything is unique and our whole Universe is only relative to each object or observer.

But is there a cut off point to how small an object can be and still distort spacetime or create a vortex around itself?

In 1971 the Hafele-Keating experiment took cesium-beam atomic clocks aboard commercial airliners and flew twice around the world first eastward, then westward, and then compared the clocks against clocks that were stationary relative to the ground.

They found that the clock aboard the plane moving eastward, in the direction of the Earth's rotation that had the greatest velocity also had the greatest time dilation. This experiment shows us that even something as small as a commercial airliners can distort the fabric of spacetime forming a so called vortex around itself.

The nuclear accident that is unfolding in Japan will change the future just by increasing the emission and absorption of radiation.

No one really understands the paradoxes of quantum physics. So the truth is we have created a nuclear industry on physics that no one really understands.

The process of radioactive decay is similar to the process in which visible light is emitted from certain atoms. But because energy differences of nuclear energy levels are normally much greater a photon emitted in decay normally has much greater energy than the photon emissions that in this theory form the continuum of time.

Therefore in this theory it is only logical that if we create our own radiation by nuclear fission we will distort the fabric of spacetime changing our own future.

In a Universe where everything is in continuous motion it should be possible to create as much energy as we like! We have tidal power formed by the gravitation pull of the Moon this alone could create most of our energy! There should be no need for nuclear power!

As an artist I have no certification, but I find it odd that you should use the word 'self-cult' when I use no photos of myself and very little reference to myself. As for 'confusion (blurred usage of terms)' this theory is based on two simple postulates,

I believe you are mistaken, you cannot find the position and momentum retroactively.

Answer
From what I have read the w-function only works one way in time you can always calculate backwards and find out the position and momentum in the past. This makes sense because we need a starting point for the w-function. There may be some probability at that point because time is continuous, but this uncertainty can only increase as the time period increases (the arrow of time).

Question 2
Where have you read that? It sounds to me like a violation of the uncertainty principle.

The book is called ‘In search of Schrodinger’s Cat’ by John Gribbin, page 159. It says ‘it is quite within the rules of quantum mechanics to set up an experiment from which it is possible to calculate backward and work out exactly what the position and momentum of an electron, say, was at some time in the past.’

Both Schrodinger and also Einstein believed that quantum mechanics is not a complete theory and that there is something missing. In these videos that ‘something’ is an understanding of the flow of time itself formed by Schrodinger wave function and that Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle is the same uncertainty that we have with any future event.

Matter (you and me) is a fine mixture of + and - charges that keeps forming and cancelling out in continuous flux continuous creation! This is formed by the inward absorption and outward emission of light (the quantum wave particle function) that we see and feel in our everyday life as the flow of time. In this theory time is only linear for each individual object or observer because objects create their own spacetime geometry (the rate that time flows) relative to their energy or mass. They will have a time line or history that will be linear and unique to that object or observer own position and momentum. This is a universal and continuous process of change or creation when an object moves the curvature of spacetime also moves forming the objects own time line (linear) in that direction.

I am not sure that light fits as nicely as you would like it to in your geometric model; that it, we know that light takes all possible paths, as represented by Feynman diagrams. Another point is that while it is true that the underpinnings of the brain are quantum mechanical, we are not certain there would be a large scale effect of this, because of decoherence. So I would be skeptical to adopt this view of consciousness. But nice movie, as always!

Light does not fit nicely into this geometric model because the symmetry is broken forming the broken symmetry of nature and life. But to have a process of symmetry breaking we have to have a geometric model of symmetry forming. I agree it would not be a large scale effect, but if we can see this effect with just two slits and some light than I feel evolution would have used this process and that consciousness represents the most advanced part of this universal process.

What I find very interesting is that we have the quantum nature or wave-particle duality not just of light but also of electron and therefore matter. We seem to have in w-particle duality a process of continuous change or creation forming random processes that our always based on the same geometry of symmetry forming and breaking. Forming a blank canvas for evolution to take place!

Yes I would agree with Fred Hoyle that the Universe is "a put-up job". But this does not mean that we can’t explain how it was put together. This video explains a process of symmetry forming and breaking that predates the evolution of life giving it a geometrical therefore mathematical base.

When this symmetry is broken it forms a spiral and we see the Fibonacci ratio in nature not because of economy of growth but because it represents the dynamic geometry of spacetime.

Emission is the process by which a higher energy quantum mechanical state of a particle becomes converted to a lower one through a photon resulting in the production of light. Since energy must be conserved, the energy difference between the two states equals the energy carried off by the photon. The energy levels are in proportion to the difference to the two previous levels this is the same as the Fibonacci sequence where each number is made up of the two previous numbers therefore the ratio of change is the same as the golden ratio.

Yes entanglement is a property of waves if you drop a pebble into a pond the ripples will expand out from their centre. They will have the same up or down movement as they expand out at the same moment in time, they are entangled or synchronized. But in this theory light or EMR also forms their own spacetime geometry that we see and feel as the flow of time itself!

In this theory each photon electron coupling is a new moment in time. The wave function expands out forming the geometry of spacetime. No information is transferred by the waves only energy therefore the future is always uncertain and is represented by Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle

I do not know a lot about lasers, but in this theory we can manipulate light and the principles of quantum physics to form modern electronics like computers and laser. Our perceptions our formed by chemical changes that are formed by electrical impulses (photons). Therefore in this theory a musician will always be in the "moment of now" Because each photon represents a new moment in time within its own reference frame. Each reference frame has its own proper time (the rate that time flows) relative to its energy or mass. This is a universal process for everything and everyone. Every listener has their own reference frame or spacetime with a past, present and future. We have music unfolding according to the laws of cause and effect as a wave structure over a period of time. Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle ∆×∆p×≥h/4π and the future probability we see and feel as Time ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π

Quantum Atom Theory is based on just two simple postulates,

1) The first is that the quantum wave particle function explained by Schrödinger’s wave equation represents the forward passage of time or arrow of time itself photon by photon, quanta by quanta or moment by moment.

2) The second is that Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle that is formed by the wave function is the same uncertainty we have with any future event.

In this post I am going to try and explain this as a simple coherent physical process. Many of the words used in quantum mechanics are very confusing and can be seen as more mathematical than part of a physical process.

Therefore I am going to give a simple definition of the main parts of the process.

Wave particle duality this is a continuous process of EMW or light waves coming into contact with electrons on the surface of atoms. When this happens it forms a photon electron coupling (particles).

The wave function collapses when it comes in contact with an atom and exchanges energy. In this theory each new photon is part of a continuous process of change a continuous process of creation!

Pauli’s exclusion principle stops the electron from being in two quantum states at the same time. This is just like any particle in our everyday life cannot be in two places at the same time. Therefore each new photon electron coupling will have its own quantum states of three dimensional spacetime.

Spacetime in this theory is formed because the greater the mass of atoms the greater the absorption and emission of light or EMR and therefore the slower time runs around that object forming the curvature of spacetime.

Quantum Gravity in this theory is just objects free falling towards the greatest mass because they have the slowest rate of time. The outward momentum of EMR forms the inward opposite reaction of gravity. Acceleration and gravity are equivalent because energy equals mass and it takes energy to form acceleration.

Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle can be found by setting up experiments collapsing the wave into particles when (time ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π) and where (position ∆×∆p×≥h/4π) will always be uncertain just like any future event in our everyday life!

Time or time continuum in this theory is a physical process formed by the wave function. Because we cannot achieve absolute zero everything is radiating light or EMW continuously. Therefore the wave-function is continuously collapsing and reforming forming the expansion of space and continuum of time.

Free will in this theory is formed not just because we are an innate part of this process and can choose when and where to collapse the wave function. But because we can create light forming new photons that will form new quantum states in three dimension.

Photon energy in this theory is a new oscillation or vibration in the fabric of spacetime. Only energy is transferred by light waves and the exchange of this energy form electric charge that will generate around itself an electric field.

Electric fields form the local spacetime geometry it is time variations within magnetic fields that act as a source for electric fields and time varying electric fields is the source of the magnetic fields. When one field is changing in time, then a field of the other is induced.

Electricity potential is an innate part of nature created by time variations in the forward momentum of time. Matter (you and me) is a fine mixture of + and - charges that keeps forming and cancelling out in continuous flux continuous creation!

Matter negative charge and antimatter positive charge form a profound symmetry in the fabric of spacetime. We have a universal and continuous process of symmetry forming and breaking that forms the common geometry we see in our everyday life

The observer effect is explained in this theory because light has to come in contact with our eyes for us to see therefore our eyes collapse the w-function just like any other object in our Universe by coming into physical contact with it forming an infinity of possibilities.

Infinity in this theory is a physical process that forms the eternity of time this can be explained mathematically by Cantor’s Continuum Hypothesis. This is why we have irrational numbers that never end and continue forever like π (pi) in human mathematics. The same irrational number can be seen in the equations of quantum mechanics representing the geometry of spacetime.

What is Time? Einstein’s Special and General Relativity are the deepest theories we have on the reality of space and time or spacetime. They are both very beautiful theories but they give us no understanding of why we have an Arrow of Time or a future and a past.

I believe the great mistake of science and physics was not to try and explain why we have a future and a past forming an Arrow of Time. For some reason this was left to metaphysics, spirituality and philosophy.

This lead to the division of physics into quantum and classical and to the paradoxes we now have in quantum mechanics. Only by understanding Time as a physical process can these paradoxes be explained.

In this theory (Quantum Atom Theory) the great difference between quantum and classical physics is that quantum physics represents the forward passage of time itself.

This theory is based on two simple postulates,

This can sound odd because we think of “time” in different ways; we have time as a measurement to get from A to B. We also have cosmological time looking back at the history of our Universe as a whole.

Modern physics has no understanding of why we have an arrow of time or a future and a past. But time in this theory is a continuous process forming the future geometry of spacetime photon by photon or moment by moment.

We are all at the centre of our own reference frame and have our own proper time. I could set up a wave function of where I might be tomorrow and it would have the same uncertainty and probability as the wave function of quantum physics.

Because of quantum probability we cannot predict when an individual nucleus will decay in a radioactive sample. Therefore we have the half-life, the time it takes half the nuclei in a sample to decay over a period of time.

This is the same probability we have in classical physics if we take a group of people we cannot predict the life of an individual person of the group, but we can calculate a half-life for the whole group statistically over a period of time.

This theory might sound child-like but it is based on the Correspondence Principle and has a one-to-one correspondence between an element of the theory and an element of reality.

We have probability propagating according to the laws of causality. This gives us a coherent physical interpretation of quantum physics. Objects will form their own spacetime geometry relative to their energy or mass. They will also form the uncertainty of their own future potential as time unfolds ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π.

The Planck constant h is a constant of action within the geometry of spacetime forming part of a physical process that forms an independent objective reality that we can interact with forming the possible into the actual.

We see and feel this as the forward passage of time and as the uncertainty and probability of everyday life. We see a temporary image of our Universe moment by moment continuously changing made up of an infinite number of photons.

Each electron has its own three-dimensional spacetime two electrons requires six-dimensions three electrons require nine dimensions and so on.

But no two electrons can share the same quantum state at the same time. This is just the same as an object in our everyday life cannot be in two places at the same time.

Because classical mechanics is an approximation of quantum mechanics we only ever have three-dimensions and the other dimensions represent a potential sequence forming the time continuum.

The deep fundamental difference between quantum and classical mechanics is that quantum mechanics represents the forward passage of time itself.

I hope to base this theory on pure mathematics and therefore pure physics. I believe this can be done in just three dimensions and one variable time.

It makes no difference if you use Schrödinger’s wave equation or the matrix algebra of Heisenberg’s quantum particles. This theory gives us an intuitive picture capturing the existence of an underlying layer of reality. This gives us an objective reality to quantum mechanics as a process of continuous symmetry forming and breaking a process of continuous creation.

Einstein’s worked until the end of his life to find an independent objective reality to quantum mechanics.

Einstein believed the quantum theory was correct but not complete. He believed in a hidden variable that would give quantum mechanics an objective reality that would fit in with the reality of our everyday life.

Most other physicist believed that no reasonable definition of reality could be expected to permit the paradoxes of quantum mechanics.

Einstein said “the next stage in the development of theoretical physics will bring us a theory of light that may be conceived of as a sort of fusion of wave and of emission theory of light.

In Einstein’s Universe position and momentum at the quantum level would be explained in just the same way as it is for an object in our everyday life.

Einstein said “while we have thus shown that the wave function does not provide a complete description of the physical reality, we left open the question of whether or not such a description exists. We believe, however, that such a theory is possible”.

Quantum Atom theory is such a theory and from two simple postulates can explain the paradoxes of quantum mechanics.

Is Zeno’s paradox linked to Quantum Mechanics?

Could Zeno’s infinities be the same infinities we have in Quantum Electrodynamics?

This post will put forward the view that Zeno’s paradoxes represent something fundamentally wrong with our understanding of the structure of space and time.

This forms a problem that runs through the whole of human mathematics.

That starts with the discovery of irrational numbers in ancient Greece and forms infinities at the base of Newton and Leibniz calculus.

It can also be seen at the heart of Cantor’s set theory and also as a paradox in his continuum hypothesis.

Quantum electrodynamics also suffers from the problem of infinities that has not properly been solved.

There is also the measurement problem of quantum physics that has no logical explanation.

All this can only be explained by a fundamental change in our concept of space and time.

Zeno’s paradox can be expressed in many ways but for the purpose of this post it is best to think of dropping an object and measuring the time it takes to reach the ground.

We can always half the length of time the object takes to reach the ground and by doing this we will form an infinite series therefore the object will never reach the ground.

Zeno rejected the idea of infinity and so he had a paradox and believed that moving and changing to be an illusion and that only what ‘was’ mattered!

But the theory I am now going explain does not reject infinity but explains it as a universal process that forms the arrow of time and geometry of spacetime. (This does not mean that Zeno was wrong)

In this theory the forward passage of time is formed by the forward motion or momentum of light (EMR) forming the geometry of spacetime.
The probabilistic nature of the wave particle duality of light forms the flow of time itself. This is explained by Schrodinger equation that represents the quantum wave particle function.

Therefore Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle is the same uncertainty that we have with any future event and represents potential future possibilities.

The answer to the problem of infinity is that it only has the potential probability to exist. Aristotle was the first to introduce the idea of something being potentially infinite.

In this theory we have a potential infinity of probabilities at every degree and angle of spacetime because one thing after another is always coming into existence as part of the time continuum.

This can be explained mathematically by what Cantor called ‘the continuum hypothesis’ because it deals with the continuum of numbers between 0 and 1.

Cantor believed that we have more than one kind of infinity. There are more numbers between 0 and 1 than there are integers, more than infinity.

Set theory lies at the heart of mathematics but Cantor’ set theory relies on there being something called the empty set a set of nothingness.

One of the axioms (principles) of set theory is that we have a choice of choosing one member of any non-empty subset of the set.

This has caused a problem proving the continuum hypothesis. Because there is no explanation of human interaction, how is the choice to be made?

In this theory we have a physical starting point to any infinite series. We can choose when and where to collapse the quantum wave particle function forming new particles in space and new moments in time.

This will form a new wave function of future potential that will expand out from zero in all directions along the x and y axis forming part of an infinite process.

Just has Cantor could mathematically build up a never-ending series of larger and larger infinities this theory can also do the same in the physical world. This fits in with Pythagoras’ most central belief that reality has a mathematical base.

Therefore the infinities in the mathematics of Quantum electrodynamics are not a problem; they represent the continuum of time itself that is infinite and there is no need for the process call renormalization.

Is the observer effect true or false?

Some people say that the paradoxes of quantum mechanics can only be explained if it is linked to the consciousness of the observer in the so called “observer effect”. But this theory will put forward the opposite idea that a deeper understanding of the physics of quantum mechanics will give us a greater understanding of how consciousness works.

We can see in the Two Slit Experiment that it is only when a detector is turned on that the interference pattern collapses. In other words only when light comes into physical contact with something does it collapse into photons or particles. When the detector is turned off the interference pattern will reform.

We have mathematical infinity in many forms. We have the infinite series of whole numbers and the infinite series of irrational numbers like pi.

There is also infinity between each whole number that can always be divided into ever smaller parts

If the laws of mathematics are true and linked to the law of nature and physics then these mathematical infinities must represent something in the physical reality of our Universe.

In a new theory called Quantum Atom Theory these mathematical infinities are formed by a continuous process at the quantum level.

Light or electromagnetic waves are continuously collapsing into photons of quantized energy forming new waves of future probability. We feel this process as the forward passage of time that form the geometry or curvature of spacetime.

Quantum Atom Theory is based on the evidence (mathematics) and experiments like the Two Slit Experiment only the interpretation changes.
When something seems to be both true and false at the same time like wave-particle duality it means that our reasoning must be at fault or that our concept of time is wrong. Only a deeper concept of length and time or spacetime will give us an interpretation of quantum theory that is a valid description of the real world. I believe rightly or wrongly that such an interpretation will also give us an understanding of the arrow of time and why we have a future and a past in our everyday life.

Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity was that mass and energy warps spacetime. But this is not a complete theory because it does not explain how energy and mass can do this.

This theory explains a process on how mass and energy can do this by forming their own rate of time by the absorption and emission of EMR that will distort the geometry of spacetime. Therefore we have gravitational fields that operate at the speed of light as in Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity.

In Quantum Atom Theory light is a wave of EMR and the quantization of light into photons take place when the waves come in contact with electrons on the surface of atoms.

When light waves come in contact with atoms it is said that the wave function collapses. This is because at that moment in time the waves of light turn into photons that are particles therefore we have wave-particle duality. Because we are all made of atoms and everything is radiating light waves of EMR continuously this is a continuous process. In Quantum Atom Theory this process forms the massage of time and the probability of when and where the light waves will come in contact with an object is the same probability that we have with any future event.

Light or EMR is a universal constant the speed of light is not relative to the movement of the observer or the movement of the object radiating the light. Modern physics cannot explain this but in this theory it is because each new photon of quantized energy forms a new moment in time. Some people say the paradoxes of quantum mechanics can only be explained by linking it to consciousness. But I believe only a greater understanding of physics at the quantum level will do this and this will also give us an understanding of what consciousness is and how it works.

Consciousness is the most advanced part of a universal process continuously forming reality. Because consciousness is the most advanced part of this process we can comprehend the process as the flow of time and can think about the past or look forward to the future. We can interact within this process therefore we have free-will to put this into the scientific equations like the Schrodinger’s equation.

In this theory all objects form their own rate of time that will have the geometry of spacetime, you me and even black holes by the absorption and emission of EMR or light. Black holes are the most extreme form and have formed their own region of spacetime where light cannot escape therefore time has stopped. The outer boundary is formed by light rays that just fail to get away and stay hovering at the event horizon. It is only if you come in contact with this EMR that you will fall in under gravity.

EMR always exists in space even Black Holes emit Hawking radiation, because time has stopped within the Black Hole we have gravitational time dilation and the nearer an object gets to the event horizon the slower time will run for that object. All objects emit EMR continuously and this EMR will be distorted because light will always take the shortest path it will be bent by the time dilation and the object will free fall towards the Black Hole.

All object distort the geometry of spacetime like this it is just that a Black Hole has stopped the outward flow of light therefore Schrodinger’s equation cannot predict what the wave function will be in the future because time has stopped in that reference frame.

Because objects can move in any direction in three dimension space but only one direction in time. They will distort spacetime more in the direction they are travelling. This will form the force known as inertia, the natural tendency for an object once set in motion to keep on moving in a straight line.

We are all active participants in the dynamics of our Universe that has just three dimensions and an infinite number of references frames. Each reference frame with its own quantum wave-particle function expanding as an inverse three dimensional sphere of probability. The surface of the sphere having two dimensions forming boundary condition between the past and future in spacetime. The frequency of the accelerating object will increase relative to the received frequency that is reduced by the Lorentz factor. Therefore time will be measured to run more slowly in that inertial reference frame.

In QAT at the quantum level of the atoms the moment of now is created by a single photon electron coupling creating a wave function of future possibilities. On the level of everyday objects the observer will see the multiplication of photon electron couplings creating a temporary image of the Universe moment by moment that will have probability and statistics.

But people say time has nothing to do with quantum mechanics and that time is linked to the laws of thermodynamics. It is true that almost all phenomena that behave differently in one time direction can ultimately be linked to the Second Law of Thermodynamics.

Light cannot be a wave and a particle (photon) at the same time. When something seems to be both true and false at the same time it means that our reasoning must be wrong or that our concept of time is wrong.

The dynamics of light and time are linked together light moves in straight lines but in three dimensional space it will expand out in all directions forming light spheres.

We see time as linear because there was an evolutionary advantage in seeing time this way. There is no ultraviolet catastrophe because time is only relative to the energy or mass of the object forming the spacetime. Quantum Atom Theory is a theory on the dynamics of Light and Time that forms the geometry of spacetime. In this theory the individual atoms are creating their own Time by the emission and absorption of electromagnetic radiation (light). In this theory we only need three dimensions and one variable of time. The parallel universes of Hugh Everett and the multiple dimension of String Theory are just individual space-times within our one three dimensional Universe. These space-times are on every level of creation from the Planck constant to objects of our everyday lives. Time is only relative to the energy or mass of the object forming the spacetime.

We have Quantum Entanglement because light has spherical symmetry and therefore photons will have opposite spin when they are on opposite sides of the light sphere. This also explains why pi is often combined with the Planck constant and is also in Heisenberg uncertainty equation.

Therefore the dynamics of light will form a universal process of symmetry forming and breaking for the whole Universe. This will create a mathematical base for the evolution of life. It is because life can choose when and where to collapse the wave function breaking the symmetry that we have freewill. Life will create its own ripples in the fabric of spacetime forming its own broken symmetry of its own evolutionary path.

Because atoms consist mostly of empty space EMR of short wave lengths like x-rays can penetrate the objects. Therefore every single part of matter can take part in the gravitational interaction. But in Quantum Atom Theory time is only one dimensional for each individual observer.

Each observer has created their own spacetime geometry this can be seen as line symmetry in the physical shape of the observer.

They will see and feel this line symmetry as the arrow of time or as the time line pointing from the past into the future.

There has to be a general principle underlying the formation of such patterns of broken symmetry.

It cannot be just because mathematics works that way that we have the beauty of such symmetry there has to be a physical reason.

The symmetry of mathematics is a reflection of our Universe the Universe is not a reflection of our mathematics.

Light sphere of EMR

In Quantum Atom Theory it is the emission and absorption of light or EMR from one atom to another that forms the forward momentum of time continuously creating the broken symmetry of spacetime.

Light moves in straight lines always taking the simplest & most efficient path but in three dimensional space it will expand out in all directions as light spheres.

Quantum entanglement.

The polarization of the light will be the same for the entire surface of the light sphere creating quantum entanglement and the geometry and symmetry of spacetime.

Electromagnetic radiation

The frequency and wavelength will form spherical waves of periodic motion. Because of the wave nature of EMR it is impossible to achieve absolute zero therefore all systems will oscillate in periodic or harmonic motion.

Light or EMR forming the arrow of time

It is this harmonic oscillation that is at heart of all fractal self similarities. The symmetry and geometry of spacetime will automatically lead to fractals self similarities.

Therefore we see fractal self-similarities at every degree and angle of creation because there is a universal method of pattern formation of organic and non organic matter.

Photon electron coupling.

Since Newton and Leibniz physics has been based on equations that relate not to the physical object itself but to the rate of change that the object will undergo in a period of time (Differential equations).

These equations on motion and later electromagnetism are very beautiful but there is a small problem and that is we have no understanding of time.

It is normal when people cannot understand something for them to say it does not exist (Atheism). This worked in physics until we looked down into the quantum world of the atoms and found the measurement problem and entanglement.

Only a new theory explaining the arrow of time and the geometry of spacetime can unite Quantum Mechanics and Classical Mechanics giving us one universal law of physics.
