creating its own time and space
In Quantum Atom Theory the illusion of time is created by wave-particle duality. Time needs a static reference frame to move against and this is supplied by the photons and electrons. They are waves of future probabilities and particles only in the moment of now. This is why time only moves one way, forward because the uncertainty principle only works for future events. We always know the momentum and position of a particle in the past.
Electromagnetic radiation (light etc) is creating a sea of probability and when the wave function collapses it creates a moment in time. Then the uncertainty principle moves on again as the illusion of time.

Because photons of light move through space but not time the observer will always see light of the same polarization as the observed no matter how great the distance between them.

Hi Nick, quite interesting look at time (or the lack thereof). Your painting is outstanding as usual, thanks for your great comments on my blog. Take care,
ReplyDeleteBob
I understand the theory..
ReplyDeleteBut confusing...time is such a base reality. The only constant that we perceive -- Anaadi Kaal (Infinity of time) -- Illusion because its infinite?
This painiting is also good, Nick

my first visit to your blog:-) some very nice stuff here.
ReplyDeleteNick ~ I like your time theory... Here is mine ~ Perhaps not scientific...but the basis of where I come from.
ReplyDelete"God, who art from eternity unto eternity, and art not at one time in one place because all times and places are in thee" ~~ what a concept!
The painting ~~ extraordinaryly beautiful!
Thanks, Nick. You make me think of Maeleine L'Engle.
ReplyDeleteL'Engle wrote A Wrinkle in Time and other books for younger readers that dealt with quantum physics and the like.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting Nick.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy reading your quantum posts even though they make my brain hurt..
Very nice and inspiring work you have here...will come back for more
ReplyDeleteA constantly fascinating, and quite beautiful, site, Nick.
ReplyDeleteis that why her eyes follow ours like the Joconde ? ;-)
