An alternative to the ten dimensions of String Theory!

String Theory needs ten or more dimensions?  No one can explain where these extra dimensions are or how the boundary area works between dimensions. Also if String Theory was correct we would have living cells, DNA, sea shells and galaxies all based on the geometry of strings. But what we see is spherical symmetry in living cells and spiral symmetry in plant life!
