Did you just make a copy of the Renoir Painting or did you make a painting copy of it? Me is confuse here. Me is not sure if me made any sense either.

The top painting is my own painting of a Renoir. I find you can learn by copying other peoples art. I believe the girl was his wife.

ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful Nick - I particularly like that first one -there's something very real-looking about it. In Chinese brush painting students are told to copy the Masters over and over to get the brush strokes right before venturing into your own style that will have the touch of the master's too. What better way to honour these magnificent artists!

ReplyDeleteIn art school, teachers recommended we copy the masters and that exercise provides a valuable learning tool. You still have a touch of your own style in the painting.
