The Physics of process Philosophy

 

Alfred North Whitehead gave us a vision of the cosmos that breathes. A universe not made of dead particles, but of living events, of experience flowing through time, emerging into moments, dissolving into memories, and re-emerging as something new. Part one: Process Philosophy within a deeper concept of Time. The theory promoted in these videos explains the Universe as a continuum with everything being a process over a period of time relative to the atoms of the periodic table. I believe we need a deeper understanding of 'time' to explain these ideas as a physical process. If time is not a background clock, but an emergent process with an uncertain future unfolding relative to us, as atoms.

Then the process, that we call ‘time’ can be explained by the spontaneous absorption and emission of EM waves with the atoms representing standing waves in time. Because the Universe is never at absolute zero, there is always the spontaneous absorption and emission of photon energy forming our ever changing world. That we measure as a period of time relative to the atoms of the periodic table.

This can be explained with a photon electron interaction between each cause and effect, between each action and reaction. Within such a process the Planck constant is a constant of action with an uncertain probabilistic future coming into existence quantum by quantum, moment by moment. Whenever our everyday world changes there is an exchange of photon energy with quantum uncertainty at the small scale forming statistical probability at the large scale. Part Two: 1:39 The individual within the process This can only be explained as a logical process if each object or individual observer is in the center of their own temporal frame of reference.

Each life form remains in ‘the moment of now’ in the center of their own reference frame. We only see time moving in one direction because the Universe is never at absolute zero, everything is continuously radiating light waves. If time is "formed" by the interaction between light waves and atoms, then the Arrow of Time is simply the outward wave expansion from each object, that form those interactions It’s like a ripples in a pond; the "observer" is where the stone hits the water. Within this process or continuum light is an electromagnetic wave with particle characteristics as an uncertain future comes into existence with each photon electron interaction. The interaction in the form of photon electron coupling or dipole moments are unfolding everywhere, but the electrical activity that forms consciousness can comprehend and measure this process.

We experience this process of continuous change as ‘time’ with a memory of the past and an uncertain future being able to look back in time in every direction at the beauty of the stars. Part Three: 3:47 The emergence of three dimensional space This can only be explained logically as part of a geometrical process of spherical symmetry forming and breaking.

This is based on Huygens Principle of 1670 that says, light is a spherical wave with each point on the surface of the wavefront forming the potential for a new spherical wave. In this theory each point represent the potential for a new photon electron coupling or dipole moment. Part Four: 4:48 The emergences of Phase based Gravity Some people might say this manifold forms the forth dimension of time, but it also forms a phase gradient relative to the energy and momentum of each object. Therefore it is relative to the mass of each object with the spherical geometry naturally forming the inverse square law of EM and gravitational fields.

The process that forms the outward momentum of light, causality, three dimensional space and time also forms the inward secondary process of gravity. Each object carries its phase structure with it.

This forms Newton’s first law, an object in motion will continue in motion unless acted upon by an external phase gradient.

Phase gradience are only meaningful relative to an external phase background.

This naturally gives us Mach’s Principle: that “Local inertia depends on the rest of the Universe” Part Five: 6:05 Einstein Relativity within this process. Einstein's General Relativity explains space-time curvature as a result of the presence of mass and energy, in this theory this is in the form of light photon ∆E=hf energy transforming potential energy into the kinetic Eₖ=½mv² energy of matter, in the form of electrons. Part Six: 7:27 The process that form the mathematics of Quantum Mechanics In such a theory the math of QM represents the physics of ‘time’ with classical physics representing processes over a period of time, as in Newton’s differential equations.

The Mystery of Time in Physics

 Could the mystery of time be explained by light being a spherical 4πr² wave?

This is based on Huygens’s Principle of 1670 that say light is a spherical wave with each point on the wave from having the potential for a new spherical wave.

Each point on the wave front represents a potential photon ∆E=hf electron interaction.

With light being an EM wave with particle characteristic as an uncertain ∆x∆pᵪ≥h/4π probabilistic future unfolds with each photon electron coupling or dipole moment.

At the smallest scale of this process this is seen as the quantum wave particle function ψ² continuously collapsing and reforming.

We have light waves radiating out in every direction with the interior of the sphere forming the characteristics of three-dimensional space.

This forms a potential time lines in every direction with every point on the surface of the wavefront forming the potential for a photon electron interaction or vibration.

Between every cause and effect, between every action and reaction light is an electromagnetic waves with photon or particle characteristics as an uncertain future unfolds.

This theory gives us a reason why so much is squared in the physics, like the charge of the electron is squared e². The speed of the process is squared, c² the speed of light. Velocity is squared v² as in the equation for kinetic Eₖ=½mv² energy. The wave particle function or probability function of quantum mechanics is squared ψ². Also natural time is squared t² in the work of Galileo with acceleration due to gravity. Distanced travelled is proportional to the square of elapsed time t². d=1/2 a t².

This geometry forms the potential for 1/r² with the Inverse Square Law of electromagnetic and gravitational fields. Spherical 4πr² geometry is key to this concept, formed by an electron sphere around the atomic nucleus and spherical light waves. The spherical 4πr² surface acts as a boundary condition or manifold for positive and negative charge. The movement of charge with the exchange of photon ∆E=hf energy interactions precede all observation, measurements and experiments.

Between each action and reaction, between each cause and effect we have a photon electron coupling or dipole moment. The wave function ψ² collapses with the absorption of the past and emission of a new probabilistic future forming the uncertainty ∆x∆pᵪ≥h/4π encountered in daily life. As a process of spherical 4πr² symmetry forming and breaking, this dynamic geometry forms entropy or disorganization with the potential for greater symmetry formation. The greater symmetry formation is in the form of the complex structures of the Universe and in the diversity of cell life.

At low temperature, we measure this process as a ‘period of time’ relative to the atoms or the Periodic Table. Within this process the Planck Constant h/2π is a minimum constant of action within a geometrical spherical 4πr² process that forms the characteristics of 3D space and continuum of time ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π.

At higher temperature the same process is relative to plasma with charge be able to cover a large area of interstellar space. The theory is based on Conformal Geometry with the same geometrical process that forms the potential for cell life forming cellular space and the cosmic web on the interstellar scale. This process also forms the potential for ever-more abstract mathematics. I believe this is why it has been so difficult to formulate a Theory of Everything or Grand Unified Theory.
