Quantum Mechanics and the large-scale world within an artist theory on the physics of time.

In classical physics when someone walks through a doorway without touching the door frame the width of the doorway does not affect the walker’s subsequent path. However, quantum mechanics leads us to expect that this situation is not as simple as it first appears to be. The person walking through the doorway has as associated wave and the doorway itself may be regarded as a single slit. Hence the walker should be diffracted as in the diagram on the right. Yet if this is so, why haven’t you ever been conscious of being diffracted when you pass through a doorway?

I believe there is only one logical explanation and that is that quantum mechanics represents the physics of ‘time’ as a physical process. The angle of diffraction cannot be predicted exactly, even in principle and this uncertainty represents the uncertainty the walker will have with any future event on the other side of the doorway.

We could say it is because the angle of diffraction is too small that it can never be observed and that the diffraction of everyday macroscopic objects can generally be neglected because of the smallness of their Broglie wavelengths.  

But if we say this we only have a mathematical understanding of quantum mechanics and no objective understanding of ‘time’ and why we have a past that can never be changed and a future that is always uncertain.

In this theory it is only logical that at the smallest scale the walker’s potential future possibilities and opportunities will be relative to the width of the doorway. The walker represents the most advanced part of this universal process and is always in ‘the moment of now’ in the centre of their own reference frame with a time line form the past into the future.

An objective quantum theory based on just two simple postulates:

1. Is that the spontaneous absorption and emission of light represented by the quantum wave particle function Ψ or probability function forms the forward passage of time itself with the future coming into existence photon by photon with each new photon electron coupling or dipole moment.

2. Is that Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle ∆×∆p×≥h/4π that is formed by the wave function is the same uncertainty we have with any future event that we can interact with turning the possible into the actual!

This theory explains an interactive participatory Universe. The wave-particle duality of light is acting like the bits or zeros and ones of a computer. This forms a blank canvas for life to form its own future relative to its position and the energy and momentum of its own actions. The Planck constant of quantum mechanics represents a constant of action in the process that we see and feel as time! This is a process of continuous energy exchange continuous change or what I like to call continuous creation!  The spontaneous absorption and emission of light is forming an Arrow of Time for each reference frame. Photon energy cascades down forming greater degree of freedom in each reference frame for the increase in entropy. Photosynthesis the scientific ability plant life has to use sunlight or photon energy to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose and oxygen can seem magical! But if Quantum Mechanics represents the physics of ‘time’ as a process of continuous energy exchange formed by the spontaneous absorption and emission of light. With time and space as emergent properties with the future coming into existence photon by photon within the reference frame and relative to the atoms of an individual plant it can seem logical!

Photon energy forms the movement of positive and negative charge and this is basically what we are seeing in photosynthesis. We are seeing the future unfolding with each new photon electron coupling with the movement of positive and negative charge relative to the structure of the plant. This happens when water molecules are split to forms positive charged protons in the form of hydrogen ions and the by-product oxygen that we breathe!

Photosynthesis as a light dependent reactions starts when individual photons normally from the Sun are absorbed in the plant by pigments called ‘chlorophyll’. When chlorophyll gets hit by a light photon an electron absorbs the energy and gets energized. This is the technical term for electrons gaining energy (the potential to do work).    

The entire trick of photosynthesis is to form a concentration gradient between positive and negative charge. This is done by what is called an ‘electron transport chain’ in which energized electrons lose their energy in a series of reactions that capture the energy necessary to keep life living as a process over a period of time.

As the electron moves along the electron transport chain it moves through proteins and every time it goes through one of these proteins it is pumping positive charged protons in the form of hydrogen ions to the inside. Basically what it is doing is building up positive charge on the inside charging them up like a battery so that the energy can be used in future processes.

This positive charge is then used to provide energy for the light-independent reactions of photosynthesis forming chemical reactions that convert carbon dioxide and other compounds into glucose.

This is called the Calvin cycle and it uses the energy from short-lived electronically excited carriers to convert inorganic carbon (carbon dioxide) and water into organic compounds that can be used by the organism for growth (and by animals that feed on it).  

This theory does not change our understanding of how photosynthesis works, but by giving us an objective understanding of quantum mechanics it gives us a more logical understanding of why the process of photosynthesis works within the larger picture of physics.

Even though part of this process can take place in the absence of sunlight, because the photon of quantum mechanics is the carrier of the electromagnetic force there is always photon energy with the movement of electric charge.

Electric charge in an innate part of all matter and in this theory the future is unfolding with each new photon oscillation with the movement of that charge. The forward momentum of light forms the forward flow of ‘time’ for each object, life form or process.

Schrodinger's wave equation is comprised of two parts, the time-dependent and time-independent components, hence your explanation collapses in on itself due to the fallacy of circular argument. There's also the fact that wavefunctions apply to all particles, not just photons, hence your photonic axiom is incorrect. Also, Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle applies to numerous quantum state combinations, the energy and momentum relationship only being the most popularly known, hence your use of it does not include the theory in its entirety.

Schrodinger's wave equation is comprised of two parts because when an atom is undergoing chemical change it can be measured as a process over a period of time. When the atom is isolated all we have is the probability of Schrodinger's wave equation that in this theory represents the probability we have with any future event at the smallest level. The wave function and the wave particle duality will apply to everything because when the atom interacts with light it forms a photon electron coupling or dipole moment. The electron represents matter therefore we have the future unfolding relative to our own energy and momentum. This future will be totally uncertain because of the probability at the heart of each atom. This can be seen mathematically in the different ways we can formulate Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle! We have uncertainty between energy and momentum ∆×∆p×≥h/4π with the 4π representing the spherical geometry of three dimensional space. There is also uncertainty between energy and time ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π with 2π representing cylindrical geometry that is need for the Arrow of Time or for a time line from the past into the future. This process of continuous energy exchange formed by the spontaneous absorption and emission of light can be understood totally objectively as a process of continuous creation with the future coming into existence photon by photon with each new photon electron coupling or dipole moment.

This process can also be seen in Cantor’s Continuum hypothesis with an infinity of numbers between zero and 1. Cantor had found a structure to infinity the further you get from zero the further you get from infinity. Newton found the same infinity at the heart of calculus and then Feynman found it in QED and he had to renormalize it to make sense of the mathematics of quantum mechanics.

In this theory the infinity represents an infinity of possibilities and the process is the continuum of time. The 1 in Euler’s Identity represents one photon equals zero ‘the moment of now’ t = 0.  Time is an emergent property with the future continuously coming into existence light photon by light photon with each new photon electron coupling or dipole moment. This forms greater degree of freedom for statistical entropy and also an infinity of possibilities and opportunities for the diversity life!

This can be explained as an objective process and also mathematically. The only number you could add to 1 to get zero is -1 this represents the + positive and - negative electric charge. This is because the photon is the carrier of electric charge. Therefore we all ready have 0, 1, 1 the beginning of the infinite series of numbers as the Fibonacci numbers 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, ... that can be seen almost everywhere in nature as spiral symmetry! This does not represent economy of growth it represent the geometry of the dynamics interactive process that forms space and time!

In this theory the fundamental nature of the Universe is a process of symmetry forming and breaking not just in space, but also in time forming what we see and feel as the continuum or flow of time. 

It is madness to think that beauty could form out of chaos and disorder, but it is logical that such beauty could form with the disorder and chaos of everyday life out of a process of symmetry forming and breaking!
