An honest investigation the nature of Reality

This video is going to try and explain the nature of reality using physics supported by mathematics.

By the word ‘reality’ I mean the reality of our everyday life with a past and a future that is always uncertain.

Each one of us is always in ‘the moment of now’ looking out at the universe with an objective reality that is always spontaneously changing moment by moment.

Throughout this changing process consciousness remains in ‘the moment of now’ this is happening within a process that we see and feel as the flow of time.

It might seem like madness to try and explain this using physics and mathematics because modern physics has no understanding of ‘the moment of now’ and no real understanding of what consciousness is.

Also without a concept of ‘the moment of now’ we can have no real understanding of ‘time’ and why the future is always uncertain.

This theory takes the simple principle that large objects are always based on the interaction of smaller objects

Therefore it is logical that to understand the nature of reality we have to look down into the atoms.

When we do this we find the physics of quantum mechanics that only really has a mathematical understanding.

The odd thing is that the mathematics of quantum mechanics does not form certainty but uncertainty in the form of Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle.

In this theory the uncertainty in everyday life in the form of a future that is always uncertain is based on the process that forms Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle.

If we look at the process that forms Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle we find that it is formed by the quantum wave particle function. This is a mathematical function formed by the spontaneous absorption and emission of light.

Therefore we have a process that is spontaneous just like the flow of time in our everyday life with the future spontaneously coming into existence moment by moment.

In this theory quantum mechanics represents the physics of ‘time’ as a physical process with the future coming into existence photon by photon with each new photon electron coupling or dipole moment.

Light has momentum and momentum is frame dependent therefore we have a process that will form its own reference frame.

Because light is an electromagnetic wave this also represents the movement of electromagnetic fields with flow of electrical activity and charge.

 

 If we then dump down consciousness to the level of electrical activity in the brain that is aware of its own electrical potential!

  By doing this we can place the individual in the ‘moment of now’ in the centre of their own reference frame relative to this electrical activity.

  This personalization of the brain can give us the concept of ‘mind’.  With each one of us always in ‘the moment of now’ in the centre of our own reference frame with their own individual view of the universe being able to look back in time in all directions at the beauty of the stars!

Only by dumping down consciousness in this way can the conscious stream of unbroken, ever changing flow of ideas, perception, feelings and emotions that make up our lives be explained as the most advanced part of one universal process.

It is an illusion that consciousness is independent and separate from time and space. Consciousness does not just perceive reality it is an interactive part of that reality!

 To understand this we have to look at the nature of time and space in Einstein’s theories on relativity.

In his theories space and time are interactive and are interlinked as spacetime. The energy and momentum of an objected will distort spacetime forming the curvature of spacetime relative to their energy and momentum.

This spacetime distortion is in the form of time dilation objects slow up the rate that time flows relative to their own energy and momentum.

Time and space do not exist independently of objects.

Once again if we take the simple principle that large objects or processes are always based on the interaction of smaller objects or processes.

We can ask our self what the smallest energy level would be that would form a base for this process. The logical answer is that photon energy is at the heart of this process.

Therefore each new photon oscillation or vibration represents a new moment in time and space.

The Universe is a continuum of continuous energy exchange or continuous creation that we measure as an increase in time with the expansion of space.

The interactive process that we find in Einstein’s relativity is part of the same process that forms the interactive process of our everyday life. I believe this is what we are seeing when we see an artist at work we are seeing new light photon oscillations or vibrations continuously coming into existence relative to the actions of the artist, a continuous flow of cause and effect. We have free will because the wave particle duality of light is acting like the bits or zeros and ones of a computer. This forms an interactive process continuously forming a blank canvas that we can interact with turning the possible into the actual! This theory explains a greater reality of one creative principle behind the laws of physics forming something like the sounding board of a musical instrument that resonates with the vibrations of one's own thoughts, efforts and actions!

These ideas can have a profound effect on our understanding of consciousness.

  At any one moment in time we can look out at the universe seeing thousands of reference frames interacting with each other relative to their own energy and momentum or actions

But we are only seeing the past with our own consciousness being at the forefront of this process of continuous creation.

   Consciousness does not just perceive reality, it is reality within the moment of now!

There is nothing that is being objectively experienced; there is only a process forming an infinity of possibilities!

In this theory creation is within the creative mind of the individual and within the eye and hand of the beholder!

Is it possible to have an objective understanding to the subatomic world of Quarks, that fits in with the reality of our everyday life?

The subatomic world of Quarks, Protons and Neutrons is very different to our everyday life with the flow of time with a future and a past! The link between the two seems to be the light photon oscillation or vibration. Light Photons are responsible for all electron and proton interactions everything we do in our everyday life from moving a mouse to control our computer to dancing upon a dance floor relies on the exchange of photon energy! 

This energy is shifting and changing electric and magnetic fields! This also represents the flow of positive and negative charge that had it origin with the positive Protons and negative electrons. 

Therefore we can see a link between the subatomic world and the fundamental nature of reality of everyday life!

 Where did the potential for consciousness come from for inert dead matter to form into life that is aware of itself?

We have a strange situation of the mystical experience of comprehending a complete picture of reality with infinity, unity and oneness that seems to be outside of time and space.

We also have physics that can explain the physical nature of reality using logic supported by mathematics but does not have a complete picture or Theory of Everything.

If the mystical experience is truly part of a physical reality then a deeper understanding of physics should give us an explanation for the experience of unity and oneness. 

One of the things we can’t totally explain using physics is ‘time’ as a process with a future that is always uncertain and a pasted that can never be changed. We can link ‘time’ to statistical entropy and the disorder and decay represented by the second law of thermodynamics.

But then we have to ask ourselves where the organization comes from for the spontaneous disorganization.

In other words what is the driving force that has lead to the beauty and diversity of life? That in its most complex form can comprehend the unity and oneness of this force or universal process.

 It is madness to believe that the organization and diversity of life could arise out of disorganization and chaos. But it is logical that the diversity and complexity of cell life could form out of a process of spherical symmetry forming and breaking.

 This symmetry can even be seen on the international space station where a candle flame in almost zero gravity takes on the forms of a sphere that interacts with its environment on the two dimensional surface of the sphere.

   

This universal process could form the geometry for the first cell life with the forward momentum of light forming the driving force!

   

If the physical or material world is explained as a process of continuous energy exchange formed by the spontaneous absorption and emission of light it can fulfill all the requirements for the mystical experience. 

This is an artist theory of the physics of ‘time’ that is based totally on physics and supported by mathematics!

In this theory time and space are emergent properties objects or individual forms their own space time by a process known as time dilation. By slowing up the rate that time flows relative to their energy and momentum.

What we see and feel and try to measure as ‘time’ is formed by the spontaneous absorption and emission of light with the future coming into existence photon by photon with each new photon electron coupling or dipole moment.

 This represents the same uncertainty we have with any future event that we can interact with turning the possible into the actual!

In such a theory the Planck constant is a constant of action in the process we see and feel as time.

This is a process of continuous energy exchange continuous change or what I like to call continuous creation! 

The spontaneous absorption and emission of light is forming an Arrow of Time for each reference frame. Photon energy cascades down forming greater degree of freedom in each reference frame for the increase in entropy. This process also forms greater degrees of freedom for the evolution and diversity of life that has lead to the creativity of art, poetry and music!

One of the main reasons why physics cannot explain the nature of physical reality to the same degree that the mystic can experience it is that we have no understanding of the mysterious nature of consciousness

This theory gets around this problem by dumping down consciousness to the level of electrical activity that is aware of its own electrical potential! By doing this we can place the individual in the ‘moment of now’ in the center of their own reference frame. Therefore the individual can look back in time in all directions at the beauty of the stars!

Only by dumping down consciousness in this way can the conscious stream of unbroken, ever changing flow of ideas, perception, feelings and emotions that make up our lives be explained as the most advanced part of a universal process.

 This fits in with scientific research that has found that between 4 and 8 seconds before you have a conscious insight to a solution to a problem the solution has already been found!

In other words the timing is out and it makes no logical sense, but if we have a universal process with time and space being formed by energy then even the energy of conscious thought will form time dilation slowing up the rate that time flows!

  Consciousness in the form of electrical impulses can interact with the external environment by a process of continuous energy exchange that distorts the geometry of space and time with the future coming into existence photon by photon!

The photon of quantum mechanics is the carrier of the electromagnetic force and therefore forms the movement of electromagnetic fields with the flow of charge. The atoms react with electromagnetic light waves forming new photon oscillations distorting the geometry of spacetime creating time variations between and within objects. It is time variations within magnetic fields that act as a source for electric fields and time varying electric fields is the source of the magnetic fields. When one field is changing in time, then a field of the other is induced. This will be relative to the position and momentum of the objects creating the time variation, the atoms themselves.

A person in meditation will bring his or her energy level down this will change the geometry of time and space.

Time dilation will decrease and as time runs faster we have a decrease in length contraction of space.

 Space will expand and the distant between A and B will increase as time speeds up relative to the decreasing energy levels.

The person meditating will experience this for what it is the unity and oneness of one universal process with the electromagnetic force expanding out to infinity!

Quantum Mechanics and the large-scale world within an artist theory on the physics of time.

In classical physics when someone walks through a doorway without touching the door frame the width of the doorway does not affect the walker’s subsequent path. However, quantum mechanics leads us to expect that this situation is not as simple as it first appears to be. The person walking through the doorway has as associated wave and the doorway itself may be regarded as a single slit. Hence the walker should be diffracted as in the diagram on the right. Yet if this is so, why haven’t you ever been conscious of being diffracted when you pass through a doorway?

I believe there is only one logical explanation and that is that quantum mechanics represents the physics of ‘time’ as a physical process. The angle of diffraction cannot be predicted exactly, even in principle and this uncertainty represents the uncertainty the walker will have with any future event on the other side of the doorway.

We could say it is because the angle of diffraction is too small that it can never be observed and that the diffraction of everyday macroscopic objects can generally be neglected because of the smallness of their Broglie wavelengths.  

But if we say this we only have a mathematical understanding of quantum mechanics and no objective understanding of ‘time’ and why we have a past that can never be changed and a future that is always uncertain.

In this theory it is only logical that at the smallest scale the walker’s potential future possibilities and opportunities will be relative to the width of the doorway. The walker represents the most advanced part of this universal process and is always in ‘the moment of now’ in the centre of their own reference frame with a time line form the past into the future.

Photosynthesis the scientific ability plant life has to use photon energy to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose and oxygen can seem magical! But if Quantum Mechanics represents the physics of ‘time’ as an emergent property it can seem logical!

Photosynthesis the scientific ability plant life has to use sunlight or photon energy to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose and oxygen can seem magical! But if Quantum Mechanics represents the physics of ‘time’ as a process of continuous energy exchange formed by the spontaneous absorption and emission of light. With time and space as emergent properties with the future coming into existence photon by photon within the reference frame and relative to the atoms of an individual plant it can seem logical!

Photon energy forms the movement of positive and negative charge and this is basically what we are seeing in photosynthesis. We are seeing the future unfolding with each new photon electron coupling with the movement of positive and negative charge relative to the structure of the plant. This happens when water molecules are split to forms positive charged protons in the form of hydrogen ions and the by-product oxygen that we breathe!

Photosynthesis as a light dependent reactions starts when individual photons normally from the Sun are absorbed in the plant by pigments called ‘chlorophyll’. When chlorophyll gets hit by a light photon an electron absorbs the energy and gets energized. This is the technical term for electrons gaining energy (the potential to do work).    

The entire trick of photosynthesis is to form a concentration gradient between positive and negative charge. This is done by what is called an ‘electron transport chain’ in which energized electrons lose their energy in a series of reactions that capture the energy necessary to keep life living as a process over a period of time.

As the electron moves along the electron transport chain it moves through proteins and every time it goes through one of these proteins it is pumping positive charged protons in the form of hydrogen ions to the inside. Basically what it is doing is building up positive charge on the inside charging them up like a battery so that the energy can be used in future processes.

This positive charge is then used to provide energy for the light-independent reactions of photosynthesis forming chemical reactions that convert carbon dioxide and other compounds into glucose.

This is called the Calvin cycle and it uses the energy from short-lived electronically excited carriers to convert inorganic carbon (carbon dioxide) and water into organic compounds that can be used by the organism for growth (and by animals that feed on it).  

This theory does not change our understanding of how photosynthesis works, but by giving us an objective understanding of quantum mechanics it gives us a more logical understanding of why the process of photosynthesis works within the larger picture of physics.

Even though part of this process can take place in the absence of sunlight, because the photon of quantum mechanics is the carrier of the electromagnetic force there is always photon energy with the movement of electric charge.

Electric charge in an innate part of all matter and in this theory the future is unfolding with each new photon oscillation with the movement of that charge. The forward momentum of light forms the forward flow of ‘time’ for each object, life form or process.
