Consciousness Emergent of Primary

Instead of forcing a choice between consciousness arising out of dead matter or a mystical primary substance, this approach proposes that individual consciousness is an emergent structure, while the physical process of light-matter energy exchange that enables it is fundamental and universal.

Just as a radio relies on electromagnetic waves to structure signal into music, the complex biology of the brain shapes underlying universal electromagnetic field dynamics into structured, subjective awareness.
A major puzzle of consciousness is why every individual has there own ‘moment of now’ experience with the passage of time that is always anchored to a localized "here and now." Physics offers a natural explanation for this:
The idea is, that Light has momentum and momentum is frame-dependent. Every physical system, every object or individual life form is absorbing and emitting light within a specific, localized reference frame.
The continuous absorption and re-emission of photons by matter marks the boundary where quantum potential collapses into actualized kinetic events—the physical definition of the present moment.

Because light travels at a finite speed (c), looking out into space is also looking back in time in all directions.

Therefore each individual life form is in the center of their own temporal reference frame in ‘the moment of now’ being able to look back in time in every direction at the beauty of the stars.

Within this process reality operates as a single universal continuum. Physics, chemistry, biological systems and conscious awareness are not separate layers of existence, but a unified temporal continuum.

Biological cell life does not invent new physics to experience awareness.

It acts as specialized, highly evolved structure that concentrate and organise the universe's fundamental energy-exchange process into a unified self-awareness.

Rather than consciousness appearing out of dead matter, individual awareness represents the most refined, temporal reference frame of a fundamental physical continuum.

In physics, a single photon-electron interaction (ΔE=hf) collapses a quantum probability wave at a precise, local point in space and time. However, the brain has no central "command centre" therefore the "moment of now" cannot be a single event occurring at a single point in space.

Instead, the subjective "Now" must be an emergent temporal window—a "constructed now"—born out of billions of photon-electron or wave-particle interactions synchronized across the entire brain. This theory can explain this because the process represents causality an emergent probabilistic future.

When we look at the redness of a beautiful sunset it is happening in real time. We don’t have to construct the concept of redness, it is there in the frequency of the photon energy exchange.

When you look at the night sky, the light waves that left a stars millions of years ago end their journey by collapsing into photons against the electrons in your eyes. In that exact photon-electron coupling a potential future becomes part of an actualized present moment, and you—the observer—are the localized reference frame in space where that moment in time unfolds.

In Quantum Atom Theory, time is not a back ground clock. Time is the continuous, irreversible conversion of EM waves into probabilistic potential photon oscillations forming kinetic events of what is actually happening in real time, here and now.

The same process is unfolding within the brain with the continuous exchange of bio-photons across the entire brain forming interference patterns.

At the most fundamental level this is a process of spherical symmetry forming and breaking. The spherical wave fronts form a two dimensional surface for the holographic Principle. Photon oscillations upon this two dimension boundary convert incoming sensory wave frequencies into a reconstructed conscious experience of reality.

The structure of the brain forms many layers of two dimensional surfaces in the form of cell membranes and cortical sheets covering the whole outer structure. Electric charge distributions across these two dimensional boundary membranes encode a three dimensional experience into conscious thought. These patterns form the potential for visualising things like past memory.

This is done by using metabolic energy to generate internal bio-photons and ion accelerations, driving wave-particle interactions across the three dimensional structure of the brain.

Consciousness is at the forefront of this process with our thoughts and dreams unfold in real time quantum-by-quantum, moment-by-moment.

This is because a sequence of wave patterns must undergo a unified phase collapse to form a single reference frame, the brain can only maintain one primary macro-state at a time.

Therefore we experience life moment by moment as an integral part of the process that forms causality, light, charge, and time with the characteristics of three dimensional space.
