An artist theory on the reality of time and uncertainty of quantum mechanics

An artist theory explaining Quantum Physics and Time as a physical process of continuous change forming the curvature of spacetime.

This theory supports De Broglie idea that everything has wave particle duality. Therefore an electron will act the same as a photon. What is interesting is that in this theory we are all waves over a period of time. As part of a universal process of continuous change or continuous creation as I like to call it!

In this theory the quantum wave-particle function does indeed self-collapses when Platonic principles embedded in the universe are met. This is happening continuously and we see and feel this as the flow of time. But we can choose our own position and momentum and the w-function will collapse relative to this movement within our own created reference frame.

In this theory the absorption and emission of light forms the flow of time. This form a process of continuous change within as infinite number of reference frames. Light is a wave over a period of time moving through space and a photon (new oscillation) forming the ‘moment of now’ within that reference frame when it comes in contact with the electron of an atom.

Each new photon electron coupling represents zero representing a new moment it time (the moment of now) with the positive numbers marching off towards an infinite future, their negative numbers recede towards a limitless past (the positive and negative of EMW).

In this theory we all have a role in creating reality because we react with the wave particle duality of light relative to our position and momentum. Because we can choose our position and momentum we can choose where new photon oscillations will be formed. That will form new wave functions of future probability!

This gives us free-will to create our own future in the form of art or poetry within the continuous flow of change, creation!

Light will take the shortest path and will therefore naturally form a sphere in three dimensional space. In this theory this forms a continuous process of spherical symmetry forming and breaking that forms the geometry of our everyday life. This forms a base for human mathematics and a reason for irrational numbers. It also forms a geometrical and therefore mathematical base for the evolution of life.

These speculative diagrams highlight the profound symmetry between matter and antimatter, positive and negative charge. We have wave particle duality and the particle property of matter only manifests itself when something comes in contact with the wave.

In this theory it’s a probability wave representing the potential of a future event. The w-function forms matter antimatter annihilation the movement of electric charge with the formation and flow of electromagnetic fields in three dimensional space. An exchange of energy a process of continuous change that we see and feel as the flow of time!
Antimatter does not go backwards in time the whole process represents the forward continuum of time itself.

If the laws of physics are universal then this process formed by the wave-particle duality of light must be happening everywhere and must effect everything even consciousness itself. Much about how our brains work remains a mystery. What we do know is that our brains’ work by electrical impulses forming chemical changes. If these electrical impulse that cause chemical changes are formed by photons than consciousness is formed by the physics of quantum mechanics.

Each individual collapses the light waves giving each new photon a position in space and time that never existed before the collapse. The quantum wave-particle function forms a potential infinity of future possibilities at every point in space and at every moment in time.

Entropy and the Second Law of Thermodynamics explained by an artist theory on the physics of Time and formation of spacetime.

There is a paradox at the heart of the Second Law of Thermodynamics. In this Law things get more and more disorganized in a process called entropy as time goes on. But the great puzzle is where does the organization originally come from for us to have the universal process of entropy?

This post will put forward a simple idea explaining this organization or symmetry and why entropy is spontaneous with heat flowing from high to low temperature as time marches forward into the future.

This will give us a theoretical justification for the Second Law of Thermodynamics and for statistical entropy.

In this theory Time is not formed by entropy, it is the continuous flow of time and the formation of spacetime that forms statistical entropy and the probability and future uncertainty of everyday life.

The process we see and feel as the flow or Arrow of Time is formed by a hierarchy of events starting with the smallest unit of radiant energy the light photon of quantum physics.

Each photon of light will form a quantum wave particle function that will expand out spherically in three dimensional space having spherical symmetry therefore low entropy.

This is where the organization comes from for statistical entropy; light is a wave over a period of time and only has particle characteristics when it comes in contact with atoms.

When it comes in contact with an atom it will form a photon electron coupling that will have its own three dimensions of space and one direction in time as part of the Arrow of Time.

This forms a continuous process of symmetry forming and breaking. Each new quantum wave particle function expands out spherically in three dimensions forming the potential for more and more photon electron couplings. This forms greater and greater degrees of freedom increasing the potential for the disorder that we see as statistical entropy.

Energy levels will cascade down from a few high frequency photons to a large number of low frequency photons. This will increase the number of photons electron couplings slowing the rate that time flows distorting the geometry of spacetime. Therefore the greater the energy or mass of an object the slower time will flow around that object.

Heat will flows naturally from high to low temperature as time marches on because each photon electron coupling represents a new moment in time that will have its own three dimensional spacetime for the heat to spontaneously disperse into.

Entropy is statistical because the quantum wave particle function also forms Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle.

There is never absolute certainty that statistical entropy will increase (things get more random) only overwhelming probability. There are exceptional moments when entropy temporarily reduces (things get more organized) with time. But overall statistical entropy will increase in line with Second Law of Thermodynamics

This theory is based on just two simple postulates

This forms a continuum of change a kind of dance of creation creating a potential infinity of possibilities at every degree and angle of space and at every moment of time forming the curvature of spacetime.

According to modern ‘quantum field theory’ apparently empty space is not really empty at all, but is teeming with pairs of ‘virtual’ particles that come in and out of existence continuously.

One member of a virtual-particle pair will have positive energy and the other negative energy or what is called antimatter and matter.

These virtual particles manifest themselves only when something disturbs the quantum vacuum.

What exactly an electron is depends on how carefully you look, look carefully enough and you will disturb the vacuum energy that is present even in apparently empty space.

This will turn the void into a hive of activity containing antiparticles or positrons that will have a perfect electric and magnetic mirror image to the electron forming a universal symmetry.

Some have put forward the idea that antiparticles the positrons can be viewed as particles travelling backwards in time and that this has even been observed in the laboratory.
This gives us a picture of quantum mechanics that is totally abstract and that can never be understood as a complete theory representing and corresponding to the reality of our everyday life.

But there is another way of looking at this! And that is to say that we can see antiparticles travelling backwards in time because the whole process represents the forward ‘March of Time’ itself

An important aspect of the Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle ∆×∆p×≥h/4π is that it does not work in the same sense forward and backward in time. One of the fundamental puzzles of our Universe is that we have a definite ‘arrow of time’ a distinction between the past and future. The uncertainty relations tell us that we cannot know position and momentum at the same time, and therefore we cannot predict the future.

But it is within the rules of quantum mechanics to calculate backwards and find out what the position and momentum was at some time in the past. This precisely fits in with our everyday experience of the nature of time, moving from a known past into an uncertain future.

Add to this that Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle can be reformulated to say that it is impossible to simultaneously measure the energy of a particle and the interval of time ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π for which it has been in existence. When we consider what happens in a region of empty space in a very tiny interval of time, there will be a large uncertainty in the energy content of that region.
It could be said that energy appears out of nothing, but the most simple and beautiful explanation for this is that we have a process of continuous creation or change.

A process of change that at the smallest level can be seen as the Planck Constant ħ=h/2π as a constant of action within the uncertainty of the flow of Time itself forming the dynamic geometry of spacetime.

In this theory it is the quantum wave particle function continuously collapsing and reforming. The continuous exchange of photons the continuous flow of negative (-) and positive (+) charge. This process forms time itself by slowing the rate that time flows.

This whole process can be seen as a process of symmetry breaking and forming between the profound symmetries of matter and antimatter or negatively (-) charged electrons and positively (+) charged positrons.

This process corresponds to Einstein’s description of gravity in terms of pure geometry in his theory of General relativity.

The greater the energy or mass of an object the greater the exchange of particle or photon oscillations within the quantum field.

This will slow the rate that time runs distorting the geometry forming Einstein’s curvature of spacetime around the object.

In this theory there is no ‘gravitons’ or undiscovered particles, objects just free-fall (gravity) towards the greatest mass because it has the slowest rate that time flows and the greatest curvature of spacetime.

This curvature is represented by π in the equation of quantum mechanics. The irrational numbers that drop out of the human mathematical system do so because human mathematics is based on the geometry of our Universe and that geometry is a dynamic and continuous forming the continuum of time.

Could the Planck Constant be an action in the creation of what we see and feel as the flow of Time?

This video puts forward the idea that the Planck Constant is a constant of action in the process we see and feel as the flow of Time itself!

Max Planck believed his discovery was something significant and might rank with those of Newton!

Very often the Planck Constant is combined with another fundamental constant of nature π

π (sometimes written pi) is a mathematical constant whose value is the ratio of any circle’s circumference to its diameter this is the same value as the ratio of a circle's area to the square of its radius.

The quantity h/2π appears so often in quantum mechanics that a new symbol has been invented to describe it, called HBAR.

Few things are more certain and fixed or static than π the fact that the circumference of a circle is not exactly three times its diameter but 3.14… time it diameter.

But when we consider static things like the fixed ratio of a circle to its diameter we find that the only possible way of analyzing the facts (so as to determine the fixed value of π) is to express the relation in the form of an infinite series of irrational numbers.

There are an infinite number of irrational numbers between every two numbers forming an infinity of infinities. It may seem impossible to visualize this as part of an objective reality.

But if the Planck Constant is seen as a constant of action within the fabric of spacetime that has the spherical geometry of π then it would be natural for the irrational numbers to fall out of the human mathematical system.

This theoretical interpretation solves the whole mystery of irrational numbers, but for our “Triumphant analysis” to work the Planck Constant h and π would have to be part of a dynamic universal process that forms the time continuum itself!

In this theory each photon is a new oscillation in a process that we see and feel as the flow of time itself. The continuous collapsing and reforming of the quantum wave particle function forms the uncertainty of everyday life and the probability of Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle of quantum mechanics!

An artist observation of Quantum Mechanics

I have been promoting this theory on the internet for over three years now and these are some of the latest question people have asked me.

How did you formulate your theories? By mathematical derivation or pure observation?

As an artist I started by observations, but I found that this theory can explain the mathematics we already have giving us a reason for the continuous flow of irrational numbers like π. We are energy ∆E and we have a future uncertainty ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π over a period of time ∆t in 2π dimensions past and future. This uncertainty will unfold in 3 dimensional space ∆×∆p×≥h/4π. Therefore we have 4π in Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle representing the sphere of 3 dimensional space for the uncertainty of position and momentum. The 2 dimensional surface of the spherical wave function we see and feel as the 2 dimensions of the past and future forming the flow of time!

What was meant by "free will" in this? I am strongly opposed to any notion of "libertarian" but am completely for compatibalism and deterministic freewill. I'd be interested to hear QM's impact on Freewill.

Free-will to choose when and where to collapse the wave function by choosing when and where we come in contact with it. Modern science has no understanding of why we have free-will a future and a past or even what the moment of now is.

If you create your own reality, how come everybody dies?and with sudden death how come the dead have surprised looks on their face(anguish)

Consciousness is always in the moment of now collapsing the wave function as the most advanced part of a universal process! There is uncertainty of when electrical activity within the brain will stop (death) because Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle is future uncertainty.

The choice that you, as a Soul, have in relation to anything is always to be loving. Do you understand that this is the divine purpose that all of us as humans have been given -- to love unconditionally?

In this theory consciousness is the most advanced part of a universal process! If we see love has the highest form of consciousness then this theory will not disagree with your faith!
In setting up this theory I have found a unity or oneness of great symmetry everything seems to be a reflection of the whole forming Einstein’s relativity within the process of time.

Nick, There is an article by a scientist CERN, "Dragan Slavkov Hajdukovic". In it he suggests dark matter is not real and is just an effect caused "gravitational polarization" of the "quantum vacuum".I recall you suggesting something similar quite some time ago and thought you might like to read it, but it will not let me post here.AJ

AJ, I don’t believe there is such a thing as Dark Matter, multiple dimensions or parallel universes. In this theory there is just our three dimensional Universe with future probabilities instead of multiple dimensions.

I'm curious to know what the latest news from the LHC on supersymmetry means to your theory? Is is more evidence in support of QAT perhaps?

I believe the LHC is like a Stone Age man hitting two stones together and creating sparks. He will be able to give the sparks names some Up Sparks, Down Sparks, Blue Sparks and Red Sparks. I don’t say this to belittle what they are doing, but it seems to me to be a creative process over a period of time and sometimes we just have to stand back and look!

Yes I have some videos on fractals in this theory fractals are formed by the repetition of the wave function continuously collapsing and reforming. A kind of geometrical and mathematical repetition!

Uncertainties arising from heisenburg's uncertainty principle is non-deterministic. That is to say, there is no amount of information we could have about the system that would allow us to predict the outcome. Many macroscopic events ARE deterministic, where the uncertainty can be done away with by merely setting up appropriate measurement apparatuses.

The uncertainty of some future events can also be done away with by merely setting up appropriate measurement apparatuses. But we have no understanding of why we have a future and a past forming an arrow of time with the uncertainty and probability of life.
This theory links everything together forming an objective reality to quantum probability.

The uncertainty principal doesn't make sense. All it explains is our ignorance of the reality. How can that be a theory at all. Like rolling dice, there is no chance. It is our inability to calculate all the variables from the point the dice leave are hands. In other words, the dice can absolutely be calculated or predicted before they stop and settle on a number. So uncertainty is an admission of ignorance, no?

The Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle makes sense if the wave function that forms the uncertainty is seen as the physical process that forms the flow of time itself.

Currently the arrow of time is thought to be caused by entropy laws. The reason there is a future and a past is because there are rea_ctions that are irreversible, not because the outcomes of the reactions are uncertain. If what you're saying is correct, then you should somehow be able to derive thermodynamic entropy from heisenburg's uncertainty principle. I know you're not a physicist, but that would constitute a proof of your idea in that regard.

In this theory entropy does not cause the arrow of time it is the other way round the continuous flow of time forms the spontaneous natural process of entropy. This make sense when you think that entropy is not universal a small child does not undergo entropy. But time as a continuous process of change will naturally disperse energy from high to low temperature with a built in future uncertainty HUP and statistical entropy!

One thing though, I'm not clear on what energy and mass are/is. What is it that's doing the interacting? I've watched loads of your videos and you've probably explained it but unfortunately my brain has melted.

In this theory energy and mass are oscillations or vibration of atoms that interact with each other forming electromagnetic waves (light). Waves by their nature have to move and we see and feel this continuous movement as the flow of time or time continuum.

what you are seeing is not change or creation but merely a_ction/reaction and yes it is everywhere. Time is just a measurement created by man to reference his existence in the universe. Einstein's merging of space and time is the reason why his theory did not work. Space exists, time is just an imaginary attributed measurement. Only the future has an infinite number of possibilities due to human choice and even that is virtually action/reaction also.

Interesting! You say that ‘Einstein’s theory did not work’. But NASA Gravity Probe B (GP-B) has found that there is a space-time vortex around Earth, and its shape matches the predictions of Einstein's theories of relativity. Time and space in Einstein's theories of relativity, are woven together, forming the fabric of spacetime. As the Earth moves around the Sun the spacetime vortex moves around with it. Even the Earth spinning on its axis creates a spacetime frame-dragging effect.

Unfortunately the is no continuous creation, all that is, is, was, and will always be. You can only understand the transformation from state to state. Time (Reference Time) is just a reference system created by humans to order there existence. In infinity there is no time.

But everywhere we look we can see continuous change or creation the creative process is everywhere! Time cannot be just a measurement or reference because we have Einstein’s spacetime geometry and time dilation explained in his theories on relativity. We have an infinity of possibilities!

Every movement I make will have to start at the quantum level and will have an uncertainty of momentum and position (Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle). As I move positive and negative electric charge will move and the wave-particle duality of light will alternate between wave and particle. We see and feel this continuous alternating between wave and particle as the continuous flow of time. Just like the tick tock, tick tock of a clock the continuous wave particle, wave particle represents the physical flow of time itself!

Because it is an infinity everything is unique and our whole Universe is only relative to each object or observer.

Therefore the observer is the only true reference frame and we have relativity. The probability of the Uncertainty Principle is the same probability that the observer will have with any future event because time is the Hidden Variable. We know time is a variable because we have time dilation when objects accelerate towards the speed of light and also around objects of great mass.

In this theory we only need three dimensions and one variable of time because we have a process of continuous change. The parallel universes of Hugh Everett and the multiple dimension of String Theory are just individual reference frames or space-times within our one three dimensional Universe.

In the mathematics of Hugh Everett’s Many Worlds Interpretation of quantum mechanics each parallel universe is at right-angles to the other. In this theory this mathematics represents electric fields being at right-angles to magnetic fields. The continuous flow of electromagnetic radiating energy (light) is forming an infinity of changing reference frames at every degree and angle of spacetime.

These reference frames or space-times are on every level of creation from the Planck constant to objects of our everyday lives. Because time is a measurement and a variable we have the Measurement Problem of quantum physics. Time is only relative to the energy or mass of the object forming the spacetime.

We have Quantum Entanglement because light has spherical symmetry and therefore photons will have opposite spin when they are on opposite sides of the light sphere. Therefore the dynamics of light will form a universal process of symmetry forming and breaking for the whole Universe. This will create a mathematical base for the evolution of life. It is because life can choose when and where to collapse the wave function breaking the symmetry that we have freewill. Life will create its own ripples in the fabric of spacetime forming its own broken symmetry of its own evolutionary path.

In Quantum Atom Theory the outward momentum of light or EMR creates the inward force of gravity. When EMR comes in contact with another object it will be absorbed in proportion to the mass of that object. This will create an unbalanced force and the two objects will resonate together.

Because atoms consist mostly of empty space EMR of short wave lengths like x-rays can penetrate the objects. Therefore every single part of matter can take part in the gravitational interaction.

The gravitation field will propagate at the same speed that EMR moves, the speed of light therefore there is no instantaneous action at a distance.

We have the inverse square law because the surface area of the light sphere increases with the square of the radius. Thus the strength of the gravitational field is inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the source.

This is my theory I am only an artist and therefore outside of the scientific community because of this there is no peer review. Nikola Tesla changed the future of the world forever with his invention of the AC (alternating current).
